Our Client has a wide product range and designs custom equipment for large scale manufacturing. They offer creative designs for production solutions. Their team has extensive experience and understands the value of an effective design solution

As a Engineering Tradesperson, you will conduct general manufacturing, assembling and repairs in the workshop. You will work in a wide variety of environments, on site at customers and in food production areas, installing and commissioning equipment, or carrying out maintenance or repair work.

Your role will include:

* welding a range of metals e.g. mild steel, stainless steel, using electric Arc, MIG and TIG or oxy-acetylene welding methods

* working from detailed drawings or specifications

* setting up and adjusting metalworking machines and equipment to produce parts or tools

* fitting and assembling parts and sub-assemblies

* assembling and installing machines and maintenance

* using hand and machine tools and precision measuring instruments

* installing and commissioning machinery and equipment on site

* inspecting machinery and making any adjustments or repairs.

You will be:

* Physically fit with good hearing and eyesight (glasses are acceptable), manual dexterity, and eye/hand co-ordination

* Mechanical aptitude and interest, and an ability to concentrate on detailed work and solve problems

* A desire to do a precise and thorough job and to keep up to date with changing technology

* An ability to work independently and to follow routine procedures for scheduled maintenance

* Good interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work as a team

* Full clean NZ drivers license

* Have reliable transport and a good range of hand tools

* Undertake regular training which will include obtaining a fork hoist licence

* Basic computer skills

* Have a positive attitude and attention to detail and be reliable and honest.
